Just as cool as the Conventional Basket but 100% USDA Certified Organic Produce! Also worth noting; if you are concerned with GMO produce, USDA Certified Organic Produce is not to contain any GMOs and there is oversight and audit built into the certification process. So if GMOs concern you, please go with this option.

Mexican Pack

Ingredients to complement your south-of-the-border-themed dishes! We absolutely love making salsas, fajitas (with or without meat!), and this Mexican hot sauce – we add a teaspoon of oregano. My big kids use this sauce on everything – so do I!

Hoping for Grey Squash, Roma Tomatoes, Green and Red Bell Peppers, Mexican Bulb Onions, Fresh Oregano, and Garlic

Roasting Veggie Pack

This is one of our favorite packs right now! Packed with root veggies galore, there’s a ton of nutritional variety and it is so pretty! When we get this pack we chop everything right away and put it in ziplock bags, and then each time we would like roasted veggies, we grab some and follow the directions below!

Hoping for Cauliflower, Russet Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Beets, Turnips and Red Onions.

Simple Roasted Veggies

Peel and Cube in 1″ pieces any/all the items from your pack!

Put them in a ziplock bag and drizzle in enough Olive Oil to cover, then I add salt and pepper to taste, and about a tbsp of onion powder. Shake and shake and shake, then dump onto a pan. Put in over at 375. Stirring every 15 minutes if it is not single layer and cook until fork soft. About 45 min to 1 hour!
Feeling adventurous?
Mix up the seasonings and include about a tsp of cumin. After roasting, finish with a splace of red wine or balsamic vinegar!

Tropical Pack

A tropical-themed variety to inspire you and bring sunshine to the middle of winter! Serve up a tropical fruit salad or smoothie for Sunday brunch; make fun and refreshing flavored waters; and serve plaintains for a delicious dinner side (try with just a bit of sour cream to be naughty!) Try Fried Green PlaintainsFried Ripe Plaintains, or Baked Plaintains

Hoping for Pineapple, Coconut, Mango, Kiwi, Banana, Plantain, Lime and Mint

Simple Fruit Water / Agua Fresca

Fruit water, or agua fresca, is so refreshing and so easy!

Toss fruit into a pitcher or jar and steep for a bit and enjoy; or throw the fresh fruit(s) in the blender, add water, sugar, and lime juice, pour over ice, and be transported to the tropics!

Avocado

Approx 48 count

Nothing better than your own case of avocados! I love to get a case, peel, and freeze with guacamole fixings. Then I pull out when I want some, and it’s already guacamole-in-a-bag!

Carrots
Approx 25 lbs

Shredded, roasted, steamed, peeled and dipped, juiced, pressure canned, pickled, par boiled and frozen, these carrots are multi-use! Roast them for a naturally sweet treat. My kids cheer when they see that big bag – it means apple/carrot juice is on the menu for the week! Grab some celery and onions and chop up a bunch for mirepoix and throw in the freezer for easy starts to innumerable savory dishes!

Anaheim Fresh Green Chiles

Approx 25 Lbs

Let the pepper roasting begin!  Serve these delicious chiles roasted and peeled, whole or diced, and in flavorful sauces. They are excellent in green sauce and pair well with rice, chicken, pork and monterey jack cheese for some delicious concoctions. Chile rellenos are simple and delicious! Have you tried raw chile rellenos? Just as delicious as the cooked variation! You can simply wash and freeze or roast and peel first – I separate roasted chiles with wax paper before freezing for ease of use. You can pickle peppers (can you hear the rhyme?), pressure can peppers, water bath marinated peppers, and salsa-ify them! Don’t forget pepper jelly!

Tomatillos

Approx 35 Lb

Salsa Verde is my kryptonite! I can say no to many things, but never to tomatillo salsa. Store in the fridge in the papery husks for up to a month. Or remove husk, rinse, and  freeze whole or sliced! Raw they are citrus-y; roasted they are smokey-sweet! To roast, I throw them in the oven in the winter, on the bbq in the summer, along with whatever else I want roasted for my recipe. Try them in stews, salsas, dips, moles, sauces. YUM! Here’s my go-to recipe for Tomatillo Salsa.

Organic Coconut Oil

This is a half gallon of our yummiest most delicious coconut oil!  Organic and delicious and my favorite for Brownies (use in recipe for oil) and popcorn (put it in the bottom of the pan when you start popping and use 50/50 butter and coconut oil to top!  It gives it that “Movie Theatre” taste.

We also use coconut oil for so many things!
