Gala

Apples
Approx 40 Lb

These are dense, juicy, very sweet and low acid with a hint of citrus flavor. This weekend I made more amazing “Holiday Applesauce” with Gala Apples!  Of course you could always do dried apples, regular apples sauce, fruit rolls, apple pie filling or apple butter! Plenty of options to make some healthy and delicious snacks and treats!

Hatch Green Chiles

Approx 25 lbs

Product of Hatch, New Mexico. Let the pepper roasting begin! These delicious chiles are renowned for their great flavor that is one of the key components in New Mexico Style dishes. They are excellent in green sauce and pair well with chicken, pork and monterey jack cheese for some delicious concoctions. After roasting, they freeze very well and will continue to grace your table for at least the next couple weeks (if you can stop eating them!)

Organic
Snow Leopard Melon

Approx 35 lbs

Look at these beauties! These gorgeous melons are smooth skinned with pale rind flecked with green. Similar to honeydew, the pale flesh is sweet with a firmer texture than honeydew.

Red Pears

Approx 44 Lbs

Lovely fresh, beautiful bottled, andluscious baked en galette! Pears are my baby brother’s favorite fruit. I always keep some bottled for him. Spiced pear butter is every bit as good as apple butter! Try adding a few pears into applesauce for a twist on flavor!

Yellow Nectarines

Approx 25 Lbs

For me, the epitome of summer is the scent of a ripening nectarine. They can be used as a substitute for peaches in recipes, and have twice the vitamin A and more vitamin C and potassium than that more popular cousin! They freeze and bottle beautifully, too! We love them just fresh or alongside a fun snack platter: sheep’s cheese, figs, almonds, cherries, apricots, berries, and sweet citrus (with the first three is my absolute favorite!). You can grill or poach them, too – and, of course, make jam or jelly, syurp, compote. Infuse summertime drinks, add to smoothies, popsicles, sorbets, cobblers, top desserts, ice cream, yogurt, and granola. Wonderful!
