Pink Lady 

Apples

This is a lovely eating apple, or stock up and process snacks! Dried apples, apples sauce, fruit rolls, apple pie filling (for pies or crisps!), apple butter! Plenty of options to make some healthy and delicious snacks and treats!

We love fresh made Apple-Carrot Juice!

Carrots
Approx 25 lbs

 

Shredded, roasted, steamed, peeled and dipped, juiced, pressure canned, pickled, par boiled and frozen, carrots are multi-use! Roast them for a naturally sweet treat. My kids cheer when they see that big bag – it means apple/carrotjuice is on the menu for the week!

Grab some celery and onions or onions and bell peppers and chop up a bunch for mirepoix and holy trinity to throw in the freezer for easy starts to innumerable savory dishes!

Green Beans

Approx 25 Lbs

 

Throw in a pan for 10 minutes and then finish the final 5 minutes with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flake, or with with garlic, olive oil, and coconut aminos or soy sauce! Or quick steam and finish the same way! These are excellent leftover on a salad the next day.

Green beans are an easy-to-freeze and easy-to-pressure can (or water bath can if pickling) veggie that will give us all some easy and fast dinner time options. I love adding them to soups, stews, and stirfrys.

Strawberries
Approx 8 Lb

 

Delicious fresh, in smoothies, frozen, jammed, syruped (is that a word?); dehydrate in fruit rolls; make fruit salad and fruit pizza; smother ice cream, yogurt, cereal, and shortcake; and our favorite: strawberry-topped gluten-free crepes! A favorite dish of my kids is Greek yogurt topped with strawberries and drizzled with raw honey.

It is imperative that you are at your pickup location within your twenty minute window
 

You must open & quality inspect your Add-On Items before you leave your pickup site. Once you have signed for your items and left, we cannot offer a credit for quality issues.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants MUST have their Contribution Confirmations PRINTED or DIGITALLY, in their entirety, when picking up items. Please bring a complete paper or digital copy (e.g., via smart phone, tablet, camera) of your Contribution Confirmation to your site each time you participate.
